Tiny Thoughts: Fix Your Posture with One Move
Today most of us are hunched over. Looking at our phones or computers, we start to develop “computer posture”. You know the position, when you are bending your neck forward and slumping your shoulders.
One exercise I’ve started doing, after I hurt my neck during my short BJJ stint, is neck extensions with this neck harness. I do 3 sets of 30 reps 3 times per week. I started this 4 months ago using 2.5lbs. Today my neck is 1inch thicker and I am using a 25lb plate (consistency wins!).
You can make your posture program as complex as you want, but doing this one exercise is a simple change that can drastically improve your posture and health of your neck. The hunched over look weakens the muscles in the back of the neck, exactly the muscles that neck extensions will strengthen.
